Does anyone know of a reputable marine shop that could service a 20 hp Johnson by Friday evening? For the life of me, I can not get it to turn over. I am going on a trip Sat AM to the Gunflint Trail and need this thing to work. I guess Crystal Pierz has an urgent care service, but has anyone used this and is it expensive? HELP! Anywhere in the west metro would work.

You could try Hannays marine in MPLS 612-781-7411 I had an issue once similar to yours where I needd it the next weekend and they took me in and finished it the next day. Now Its not the west suburbs and does require trailering your boat through MPLS but that may be what keeps the appointments open. Good Luck!

Crystal Pierz Marine has urgent care and will look at it right away, however urgent care doesn’t mean they can fix it right away. If it is something simple they will do it right away. If they need parts that they don’t have they will fix it as soon as the parts come in. The cost is not at any different rate. They do have a $50. minimum charge but that is not in addition to the total. It just means if they do something the least it will cost is $50.00.

Extreme Marine in Ham Lake is super!!! reasonable and he can turn a job around really quick. He did my carbs this year, 3 days before opener my 60 Yami took a dump. He promised it by opener, and delivered a day early. I couldn’t be more impressed with the service.
