Cold front has dropped water temps as much as 8 degrees. Main lake is about 50 shallow bays are 52 at best. Scratched a few small crappies every night by concentrating on deeper water back bays or current areas on main lake. Bass/crappie ratio is 3:1 in favor of the bass. Most of the fish are coming on paddletail plastics under a float. Bite should pickup by weekend regardless – fish gotta eat sometime.

Not really looking for them but they have disappeared out of shallow water too. My dock area is a bedding area for gills and I haven’t seen any there either. Might be that 46″ musky that is hanging around. I am fighting the urge to float a sucker in front of her nose. Not fair to be tempted like that!
