Was out Friday and Sat searching for crappies. Main lake water temp was 48 some protected bays were 51. Fish weren’t in shallow yet. Too windy to do a decent job on the main basin but fish were there. Finally tried some rip rap shoreline out of the wind and bingo. Nothing bigger than 9″ but must have caught a 50 fish each time. Big females are still hiding deeper – that’s this weeks work.

Fished Tonka from shore on Sun for about 2hrs in a shallow cove probably 4ft deep. Caught a lot of real nice sunnies around 7″ only managed 3 crappies but one was 11.5″ also got about a 3 lb largemouth. Think it is a little early for the crappies to be real shallow just yet.

How deep were you fishing Stanman?

True but it isn’t too long and it will be time. Usually when the bays get around 54 you’ll find fish all over.

Was out last night – water temp still 48degrees in main lake 51 in Seaton and Black. Not much happening until dark and then the fun began. Flu Flu with minnows or Gulp. About a dozen 9 to 10″ fish and twice that many little guys. Still no females but with the sun and temps for rest of week the bite should be really turning on.
