It was dead until sunset time and then it turned on big time. Nothing real big but some nice 15 to 18″ fish mostly walleyes but some sauger. All off the wingdam and they were smashing the ringworms. Don’t know why but chartreuse was the color to go with. Firecracker/oyster/pro blue just weren’t working for us. The late morning early afternoon was sauger only in 24ft to 30ft of water. We tried the WIsconsin side from the culvert down later in the afternoon but nothing doing. Somebody was working it pretty hard after sunset. You sneak up there James??
Nope, no sneaking out for me that day. Thanks for the report. With all the boats in the area there’s no surprise that the fish held off until late in the day to feed. Thanks for the report!
