Big Fish Going to Town!

Before today my fall fishing had been very dissapointing. I was starting to wonder if I had forgoten how to catch a fish. That all changed today as I spent the day on a small metro area lake pulling bass after bass into the boat. The first 10 were all 2-3 pounds and I didn’t think we’d be able to find any of the big girls, but it happened. Pulling up to a small sand/gravel point that had some green weeds remaining on it my buddy popped the cork on a fish right about 4 pounds. I proceeded to bring a fat 19″ largemouth to the boat next. After releasing her I had on quite possibly the biggest bass of my life. She pulled like a locomotive and got the bow of the boat swinging around. I then watched all my hopes of catching the state record bass sink as my 17 pound XT was snapped as if it were a mere spider web. The point of all this??? The next three weeks should be magical so get out and throw a jig on the weedlines. Fall fishing is here!!!
