    Mike where have the muskies been showing themselves shallow?? I’ve been out in deeper water and it has not been the usual September so far. Few times I tried inside I did not raise any muskies – more than few pike though. Amazing how big a lure those little pike will attack. I’m just trying to put together a pattern that produces this fall. Just like the bass muskies have been off so far this year.

    Quite a few places actually. The most common sightings have come from the flat in the ne corner of Wayzata. We caught a few on the outside edges before, but latly we’ve seen them while working the docks. Other flats like this all over the lake have held fish as well.

    Thanks. I’ve been finding my fish right on the edge of the milfoil in 10 to 14ft but some bass guys I know have been seeing a lot of muskies hanging on docks. I guess I’d better start chucking stuff at some docks. If only those pesky bass will leave me alone
