Was on tonka last thurs with my fishing club for late afternoon and evening. spent most of my time on crystal bay, overall day was pretty slow and was one day after a very strong and fast moving coldfront thru the area. my best area was along the north shore throwing spinnerbaits over the milfoil tops in 3 to 5 feet. my best BASS was 5.1 pounds that hit the lure just as it hit the water, thought I was in weeds briefly til I felt the fish and swung on her. She came immediately out of the water with a back flip and crashed back in. with the area weeds and two dives under the boat it was a little tense, but got her boated, about 10 minutes later caught and boated my nicest northern in quite awhile at 33 inches. not a bad evening. will try and get some pictures on here, am in the process in getting some better software so I can get my files under 100k.

Thursday was pretty decent for me as well. Our boat got two muskies – a 42″ and a 44″ – as well as an assortment of northerns. We opted to fish some of our fall spots given the water temp and got rewarded. Forget the summer patterns. Heck I’ll probably have to rake leaves by Labor day the way thing are going.
