    Hi All,

I typically fish the rivers here in town, but with high muddy water and no wake on the Croix I was thinking of trying something different. I enjoy night trolling for shallow water walleyes and was wondering if White Bear, Big Marine, or Forrest Lake would be worth a shot…

    Any input is appreciated!

The night time is the right time on White Bear. Only problem with trolling shallow is the toothy critters and loosing plugs. So make sure to wire leader up. Also as night falls those big under water points adj. to deep water load up with suspended walleyes. The best tactic I have found is to power slip bobber (lighted) with a leech. Seems to work really well for me in the past.
    Good luck
