    Stock more walleye in Lake Minnetonka!

    Westonka Walleye Program
    is holding its 1st annual fundraising banquet
    at Lord Fletcher’s on

    Thursday April 24th 2014, 6–9 PM

    Raffle tickets can be purchased at local sporting goods retailers.

    Prizes:
    • DH Feather 6’ 8” walleye rod with Pflueger reel
    Donated by DH Custom Rods and Tackle
    • Frabill Excursion flip-over ice shelter 3-angler
    Donated by Cabin Fever Sporting Goods
    • 3 person guided Mtka walleye trip w/ Rory Nelson
    Donated by Wayzata Bait and Tackle

    We will have tons of prizes and silent auction items that will be of interest!!!

    Westonka Walleye Program is 100% funded from private donations, and 100% of the donations are used to purchase 8”-13” walleye to be stocked in Lake Minnetonka.

    But….wouldn’t the Muskie, Pike & Bass eat those poor little Walleye like they do on Mille Lacs?

    Its actually a cunning ploy perpetuated by the Muskies Inc. underground to provide more forage for their quarry of choice.

    You guys do realize that big pike and muskies help walleye populations more than they hurt them, right? I would have taken the comment as a joke except for the angry face.

    Tonka has thousands of small sunfish, crappies and perch for the big toothies and bass to eat. No need to bother with eating walleyes. I think more big Pike, Walleyes and Muskies would be great to reduce the numbers of small panfish.

    I have only been on it once recently but it seems like it should already be a very good walleye lake. Huge, lots of good water, rocks. Odd that its not but maybe it once was and will be again?
