Lake Minnetonka ice report?

    Does anyone have a report on how thick the ice is on Lake Minnetonka? I was hoping with the temps dropping yesterday and today that it might start to lock up a bit.

    Drove by yesterday afternoon and Grays bay was locked up, but all of Wayzata bay as far as you could see west was still open.

    May need to double check bay names, but heading west on CR15 off 12 the first big bay on left I believe Smiths bay was half open and pretty slushy on edges, but from there on out all I saw was iced over bays including tanager lake, Lafayette and the one you see to your left in spring park off 15 and 125, and even the couple through Mound off 110 were iced over.

    8-9″ of ice close to shore and 5-4″ further out where we were. Perch and crapies were caught, stayed for the sundown eye bite, however nothing to show for it.
