    Does anyone know any tricks of the trade when it comes to trout fishing in the metro area?

    Super broad question. Hard to even answer. If you want to fish more than the Vermillion or Hay Creek you’ll have to expand your search to SE Minn or Wis. Anything else is super small and/or not really viable.
