Is there any boat launches that are private with season pass access? I am normally on early but trying to get off the lake when the zoo is trying to get on has been a hassle in the past. Or maybe I just don’t know what public accesses to use

If you get out early enough ( Before 6:00 ) the landing off of shoreline drive at Spring park bay is usually a good one. Nice double wide ramp will rather limited parking ( maybe 8-10 boats ) They do have overflow parking at the city werks lot a block or so away. Not a real busy ramp most days.

I never have a problem launching from north arm or maxwells at 4am and leaving by 10am. Grays bay on the other hand is a freaking zoo at just about any time of the day. Surf side in mound isn’t bad either if you’re fishing the west side.

You can say that again, one of these days I’m going to get an orange vest, a brown hat and a bull horn and just stand their telling people “you can’t tie up to the launch docks….you can’t leave your boat at the launch docks…..you can’t let your wife hold the boat at the launch docks….”

I mainly use the Minnetonka Regional Park for a $35 annual pass. You have to walk up and down that huge hill, but it is typically quicker than waiting in line at another launch. I will also use the one in Mound or Spring Park if I am fishing really early or late (which is about 50% of the time) to avoid the crowds. Avoid Grays Bay at all costs. I know there is a private launch just east of downtown Wayzata where all of the sailboats are, but I don’t know if they sell passes to it or what.
