I am starting a new walleye club in the Mpls metro area. W-eye knot fish club is a small club that will get together 4 times a year on the water and fish small club tournaments. For the first year I have picked the lakes in the future they will be voted on.

Here is the list of events for 2013.

Sat May 4th – St Croix river south of the Kinni to pool4.

Sat June 8th – Alexandria Area once we have the members we will vote on a lake for this June event.

Fri-Sat June 21st – 22nd Take a vet fishing event Prior Lake. Hosts needed to guide veterans out fishing for a day.
Steak Dinner of Fri evening and a fish fry on Sat.

Sat Aug 3rd – Mille Lacs

Sat Sept 14th – St Croix River from Prescott to Stillwater.

This club is a chance to get to know other anglers, learn new techniques and build acquaintances in a laid back tournament atmosphere. If you are interested please e-mail Chris at [email protected]

Just curious as to what your format is ? CPR? Entry Cost? Payback % ? Do you have a website with info ?

This is the 1st year for the club. Just looking for a good bunch of guys that want to get together do some fishing share stories and tactics.

At this point I have a weight format for 6 fish for all but lake Mille Lacs, that will be a picture tournament.

Depending on the members vote we may not even have payouts. In my experience once $ gets involved people loose their minds. Usually if you win you are still in the hole for the trip. Its not about the money but more for the experience of fishing with some good people.

If you have further questions shoot me an e-mail. I can send you the payout schedule and regulations for each tournament. We are all competitive and enjoy the bragging rights of winning but if you are in it just to win it this club probably isn’t for you.
