Anyone know why they have the visible rocks marked with danger buoys, but do not mark the one on the north end that is 2 inches below the surface? I ran aground today, luckily I was just idling through.

With the low water levels, I’d assume the one your talking about was under water but with levels 2ft+/- low, it is now visible and the other one maybe was not a problem earlier.

I haven’t been back since early July, so I am sure the water as many area lakes is down another ft or two

The rock he is talking about has always been an issue. There are actually about 5 of them there. It’s horrible and I have seen so many boats ruin props there. The other spot where the buoy is can be ran easily.

Can you say Hilex Jug(s) and a few anchors –

This is how we do it on the Canadian Shield. Easier to handle yourself – rather than wait 25 years for the MNR to place a can there….

    Just a thought….

That was just my 2nd time out there, luckily something made me slow down, otherwise, I would have been on plane. Needless to say, it is now a waypoint on the GPS.

You say that there are a few more. Are they clumped together or all the way across the channel?
