Was wondering if anybody was doin any good from shore or knew of a spot or 2 that might be worth checking out.. i only fish the river so any ideas on a small lake with easy access would be nice.. im bringing 2 friends that never really go fishing and would like to hook them into the sport as best i cann.. with the river being slow for me lately i figured smaller fish and more action is what they are lookin for. Thanks in advance. Feel free to pm me as well.

You might try doing a little research and narrowing it down to a couple of lakes.
Or at least letting us know how far from IGH you want to drive/bike/walk/?

Lakes in the metro have many that have fishing docks in/on them, be a good first place to try.

Nokomis, Harriet, Calhoun would be starters.
