Shore fishing in north metro?

    My co-worker is looking for a place to do some shore fishing. Location would be within 30 or so minutes from Blaine. One note, his 80 year old uncle is visiting from out of state so ease of access is a significant consideration.

    Both the Rum River and Mississippi have accessible piers. The Rum has one at the fairgrounds and at Anoka city hall. The Mississippi has one at the confluence and behind Kmart off hwy 10. The Coon Rapids Dam has spots easy to get to. I’m sure there are more if you do a little searching. Many metro lakes have piers also. Calhoun and Harriet have multiple.

    Thanks for the suggestions, I’m not really familiar with that part of town.
