I am just wondering if anyone has had any luck there the last few days. I am not fishing for any thing specific, I just want to get input so I can decide what we should target, be it gills, crappie, pike or walleye.

This time of the year get on the outside weedline most anywhere on the lake and throw a Red Rattletrap or Red Bomber Crankbait and you will the large northerns. I hit the lake a few times each year around this time and have a blast fishing the pike

God made catfish “ugly” to filter out the pseudo fishermen. Those who are only concerned with looks, will forgo a tough fight and challenge by chasing other “pretty” fish. If the good Lord wanted shallow, unskilled and dumb fishermen to switch to cats, he’d have put boobies on them. Those who know true beauty pursue the catfish. – Mplspug

How many times do I have to tell you it is caught, not cought.

Stifle it Jeff! There are times when we must take a road more traveled.

Have not tried there, but decided to hit the narrows last night to check things out. One 15″ walleye. A couple of other guys also pulled out one or two walleyes. Might take the boat out tonight if things goes as planned. Fish are moving through the channels, just seems like they didn’t start biting until it was actually dark.

On Sunday I was rippin silver Smithwick Rogue’s in Robinson’s Bay throwing them almost up on shore. Pike were hitting them hard.

There is a lot to be said for preparation. Both of us kept kind of prodding the other to figure out where to go. We caught a few fish to make it a enjoyable side to the weather.

What I really needed was to get a bottom content map. I could only assume some of those spots with the millfoil were soft bottoms, not exactly what I was searching out. I was hoping to get into some walleye. Found one area that was very interesting that I would have loved to have known about a month ago.
