Has anyone been out on Lake Calhoun recently? I will be heading out there tomorrow with my gal and was curious about the condition of the ice and if the bite was active or not. Maybe if we have some success she will want to spend time on the ice rather than trying to get me to watch “The Bachelor”

I would be careful out there. this is typically the last lake to freeze up in the metro and ice tends to be a little skitish early. I have not been out there.
There are huge areas of open water out in the middle & on the North end. I have seen some guys out on the South & West sides fishing close to shore. I wouldn’t venture out too far.
Not advised. 
Thanks for the responses. After seeing the responses I decided I should head to a different lake in the north metro.
