Lots of area lakes have Fishing Piers. Mitchell is pretty good and plenty of other area to shore fish from in the park there. Here is a link to Eden Prairie Parks including a Lake information page. There is also Lake Riley, Bryant Lake Regional Park & Lake(Three River Park District), I beleive they have canoe rental, Starring Lake and others. If you go a little West there is Lotus Lake & Lake Ann and Minnewashta in Chanhassen. The Minnesota River has plenty of shore fishing along its banks and more.

    Good Luck

I grew up next to Round Lake in EP. My dad said he saw someone with about a 7 lb LM bass in a bucket. He claimed the tail was poking out from a 5 gallon pail with the nose on the bottom.
