Fishing Prior (or maybe Spring) for the 1st time on Sunday. Just looking for some bass or pike action. Does anyone have any areas that might be more productive than others?

As far as Pike in Prior goes – There are not many. There are a ton of rather small bass ( 10-12 ” ) this year. They are all over. Throw a Jig worm on the edge of almost any weed line and you will catch them. Spring has some nice Bass but not much cover for them – I’d skip a tube or jig under docks – Not sure about the Pike out there. I’ve never caught many and I’ve thrown a fair amount of spinnerbaits and crankbait out there so my guess is that the population is also rather low. Let us know how you do. Good luck.
