Looking for some help. Bought a tracker bass boat recently and with it came a Lowrance hook 7. From day 1 I was getting what looks like interference in the form of long lines vertically accross the display. Bass pro has swapped the unit, replaced the tranducer (twice) on the trolling motor, and I’ve tried about everything I could find for tips on the net. Also tried it with everything off in the boat. It will be there regardless of the trolling motor running. I’ve attached an image, any advice would be great.
    Thanks in advance!

Post a picture of the transducer mounting to show how the structure scan and standard transducer relate to each other.

Will do. We’ve tried the one that dangles down from the motor body and the one that fits flush (on there now). The later seems to work a little better.

What battery are you powered off of? Have you tried ferrites? Does the transducer cable run close to any other power cables in the boat?

I trust you are a smart guy, but it isn’t mentioned so I thought I would ask. Sometimes the most simple solutions are overlooked. Done it a time, or two myself. doah

If you only have a trolling motor transducer I would pull it off the motor and pull the cord. Re wire the ducer to the unit externally and have someone hold the ducer in the water with the cord simply laying on the deck. This will tell you if its an issue with the wire routing or trolling motor interference.

I caught some fish for sure ;). Can’t say the finder helped a lot given what it was showing me….

Have you tried turning down the sensitivity? With that much crap on the screen it would be my first move. 10′ vs 30′ you are going to need to adjust it. I would not rely on the “auto” mode either for best picture.

That’s at low. High was unreadable.

Do you know someone you could borrow a transducer from? Start eliminating…
