Note that the Little Lake is off-limits and the size minimum will be 12″.

Good info to have for pre-fishing.

    Time to get to work.

I feel the same way about the time I put into the little lake, but I would have felt a lot worse if I had a good little lake pattern going.

The bad news is that this will further contribute to my concern of congestion.

6300 acres just became 5800-or-so acres.

If 100 boats come, do I get to pick my 58 acres??

That is exactly the example I cited as FLW precedence when Halfen and I were talking off-line about this potential rule change.

It doesn’t bother me, but I’m surprised by it.

    “minimum length 12 inches”

Better than FLW fish pics holding up 6 inchers for the photo op–now they will be 13 inchers.

Hope the guys find some bigger fish in the system–my money is on Halfen.

Doc, this is a reduction in the minimum length. The FLW standard is 14″, which didn’t mesh well with the Wissota slot.

Thanks for the confidence Doc. Hope it’s not misplaced.

I’ll say this, now that the little lake is off limits. That move eliminates some proven mid-late summer big fish opportunities.

But, that move will also help guys, including me, focus our pre-fishing efforts on the remainder of the system without the little lake distraction.

Woo-hoo, no pressure on the little lake!! I will be sitting right on the south side of the bridge waiting for all those fish running away from the 100 boats.

It’s too bad, like Jason H. said, there are some good mid-summer locations for big fish and good places to pick up a quick couple unders.

Good luck!! I have my money on a Jason, ha.

I to had spent a fair amount of time in the little lake. I can now delete some way points and start over.
By the way I had about a foot of clearance going under the bridge. Just had to take my butt seat down. I had less room at Cass.
