Fished the last week with mixed results, Little Wissota in 30′-45′ off the View. Crappies gills and walleye mixed on minnows and waxies, some very nice slab crappies and decent gills, walleyes were running on the small size. The last two days the fishing pressure increased and the catch decreased so it might be time to check other areas like this around Wissota. Also they have been doing good on night outings for walleye on the Yellow river area……

Spent new years eve fishing the yellow river bar near the head of the lake with several friends on our annual outing.
Good action from early dusk till dark and again from 10 to 11’ish.
Small eyes on fatheads and jigs but the hot bait for our two nice eye’s of the evening were small suckers, small treble hook, no leaders. Not a single bite jigging, all on tip-ups.
Just keep a light or lantern going as this area seems to have became a drag strip for the sledders.
