Hit Wissota for the first time this year, and action was fantastic under the warm sun.
Started up the Chip with my Dad, and had to work to put a few in the boat in various locations through the morning. Headed out to a mid-lake hump, and quickly found active fish. My brother joined us after a while, and we basically stayed anchored in the same spot going vertical, conservatively boating 50 ‘eyes. Nothing over 18″, but plenty of upper slot fish. Never had 3 on at once, but numerous doubles.
Minnows, leaches, crawler halves, blades, paddletails…all caught fish. Best bite was from 12:30 until 2. One nice perch also came to the boat, a first on Wissota.
Great way to spend some time on Father’s Day weekend. Hoping this pattern continues for at least a little while.
