Today’s nearly constant rain definitely put the damper on Wissota’s early summer walleye bonanza. Nevertheless, my guests and I persevered and put some nice fish in the boat.
Fishing with me today were Tal and Darlene from SE Wisconsin. We spent our trip targeting walleyes primarily, although we did dabble with gills towards the end of the day.
We worked hard to put double digits in the boat. Covering water looking for the few active biters that were available was the key for us today. Our big fish were Darlene’s 22.5, backed up with an 18.5 that your guide is holding in the last picture.
Better days are ahead, but even this soggy day wasn’t half bad. Thanks for joining me today Tal and Darlene….see you next summer!
