Got out on the water today at 7am, mostly just to check out the new 997. 1st time on the water with it, and I was just amazed at what I saw. Every screenshot I have seen on the web (and I’ve looked at tons) is right on… The level of clarity and detail is astounding… I could see every crib very clearly. I was finding rock shoals in the river where I never would have looked otherwise…. Which brings me to my fishing report. On that rock shoal, I figured I would throw a line or two in, and ended up catching a small wissota under, released to fight another day. Got it on core and a shad rap. It was the only fish of the morning, but I wasn’t fishing most of the time, usually just had my eyes glued to what the 997 was showing me. simply amazing!
