Navionics (or Lakemaster) chips for Wissota – 1′?

Question for Jason, or anyone else who might have the inside scoop –

Does anyone know when or if Navionics or Lakemaster will come out with HD (1′ contours) maps for Wissota? Definately worth the upgrade if they do… I have used the request links from their websites to let them know… But I was hoping to either 1) get the inside scoop from someone who might know or 2) get the word out for people to request the HD survey for Wissota… The more people that request it via email link, the better shot we have of geting Wissota in HD.

Each chip (Navionics and Lakemaster) has roughly 100 HD maps for WI (plus or minus). Wissota is within the top 20 lakes by acreage in WI, and I don’t think that includes Little Wissota and The Chippewa River portions. It just seems to make little sense that Wissota is not HD when it (in addition to the little lake / river) put it in company with some of the largest 10 lakes in WI.

Sites to request Wissota as an HD lake. Please send an email to the following links if you would like to see Wissota re-surveyed as HD.

    Beats me!

I’ve been requesting it for, oh, 2-3 years at least. Did so again this year.

I hope someone comes out with it in 2010….after the FLW league championships this fall. I don’t want all of my hard-earned secrets revealed just yet!

Called lakemaster last year and they said Wissota was not currently in the plans. So I guess that means we need to request a few more times.

Even for those of you who only use one brand and not the other…. If you have time, please request the lake for both Navionics and Lakemaster – If they get around to doing a HD survey in a year or two, who knows which units will be compatible with which chips. (Or who knows which unit might be in our boats pending future chartplotter upgrades)… Might as well try to get both companies thinking about the lake it we can…

Right now HB only accepts Navionics chips, but the optimist in me hopes that will change with a future software update…??? (I can dream, right? “) )
