My co-worker sent shared a small group roots fishing club with me today. Thought I would share with anyone that may be interested. I was told currently there are only about 6 boats involved.
If you are interested shoot me a PM. I didn’t have permission to post contact info.

Gone Fishin’ Club Rules and Information
Mission: Provide an incentive for those that enjoy fishing but never seem to make time to do it.
Membership Fee: $25.00 (Must be paid prior to first date fished.)
Eligibility: Anyone interested in fishing. Friends, family, neighbors……
Bi-weekly Payout: 1st, 2nd, and possible 3rd places (based on total points for the outing), and Big Fish (highest points for a single fish for the outing) with variable payout percentages based on the number of members. In the case of ties for 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and Big Fish, the following will be used:
1st place tie – – combine the 1st and 2nd place prize money and split it between the tied winners.
2nd place tie – – combine the 2nd and 3rd place prize money and split it between the tied winners.
Big Fish tie – – the Big Fish prize money will be split between the tied winners.Outing Dates: Bi-weekly on Wednesday. Fishing day is 24 hours from midnight to midnight (open to all shifts) (no rain dates – use rain jacket). Only fish caught on the lakes listed or all other lakes that reside, completely or partially, within the same township/range number (listed in the county plat book) for that area can be scored. Also fish caught on lakes designated as a local option for that day can be scored. When fishing a local option lake you may only fish that lake or river as listed. If you have a question about whether a lake is eligible, check with a member before you go. See the published schedule for dates and eligible lakes.
Partners: You are welcome to fish alone or with a partner of your choice (does not need to be a club member, but only a member’s fish will be scored). If you need a partner, let us know and we’ll see if anyone else needs a partner for the week.
Scoring: Points system (honor) is based on length and species per the following scoring system schedule. Points are for each individual person. We do award 2 points for each fisherman who participated for the week, regardless of number of fish caught.
Scoring System:
Species Minimum Length Points Additional Points per inch Points for Undersized Fish
Musky 32 10 2 5
Northern Pike 20 5 2 1
Catfish 20 5 2 1
Walleye 13 5 2 1
Smallmouth Bass 14 5 2 1
Largemouth Bass 14 5 2 1
Crappie 10 2 1 0
Trout 10 5 2 1
Sturgeon 50 5 1 1
Sunfish/Perch 7 2 1 0
Other 0 1 0 0
Scoring Example:
22” Northern Pike = 5 points for minimum length plus 2 points X 2 Additional inches over minimum (4 points) = 9 points
18” Large Mouth Bass = 5 points for minimum length plus 2 points X 4 Additional inches over minimum (8 points) = 13 points
10” Walleye = 1 points (Undersized fish)
Reports:
Please file reports by e-mail by the Wednesday of the following week after the contest. Basically that gives you one week to complete the fishing report. After that date has passed, reports will no longer be accepted for the last weeks contest, but points can be added to the yearly total.. The reports should be of the following format:
Fisher: Your Name
Lake: Cornell
Total Points: 36Fish: 3 14” LM Bass 15 points
7 undersized Bass 7 points
1 21” N Pike 7 pointsComments: I had one 14” bass on a deep crankbait, 2 short bass on a 4” Ringworm, the northern hit a black/silver tandem spinner bait and the rest hit a jig’n’pig. Almost all of the fish hit at the bottom of the weedy drop-offs. We fought strong wind all night until dusk and then we battled the mosquitoes. Still had fun.
