The league put the scorecards away last night and donated our time and attention to the Big Brothers/Big Sisters organization. We had a chance to host 7 kids and their bigs for some exciting Wissota multi-species fishing.

The evening started with some grilled dogs and brats, then each of the littles received a brand new rod/reel/tackle combo courtesy of the league. After that, it was off to the boats.

Jason Sullivan and I hosted Gregg Bohlig and his little Tyler. Our plan for the evening was to tire Tyler out by cranking in walleye after walleye. Our mission was successful! We spent the evening pulling cranks on lead and longlines in open water. We lost track of numbers, but I’m guessing we ended up somewhere around 20 walleyes, including 3 doubles and 1 triple. We had two overs, including the big fish right around 19″. I’ll add some pics from our evening after work tonight.

Thanks to Aaron Berg and Jason Bergeron for helping to organize and host the event!
