Kevin, we are going to do a real informal gathering for the four Tuesday’s in September. Jason or I can not make the 4th.

Shoot me a PM, if you have interest.

Should be a lot of fun. Once October rolls around there just won’t be enough time for anything formal, so the month of September it is.

If anyone in the area is interested in our slate of september events, contact the Sullster or me.

Tonight is week two of the fall fishing league. We will be meeting at the Rod and Gun club. Kathryn and I will be paired up. It sounds like 2K’s and a side kick will also be there.

    See you on the water.

Kevin, this fall league is just for the ‘eyes. I have a couple extra score sheets you can use if needed.

Thanks for the explanation on those boats. I was sipping on my coffee and enjoying the sunrise when I saw the string of fast glass ripping through the S bridge area.

Kevin, with your connections I wouldn’t be surprised if you just call the dam operator to control the flow at your will and choosing.

We had poor participation considering it was only three of us.

Kevin, I thought you blanked. I’m glad to hear you did better than you indicated on the water.

Our night started off with mayhem. I pulled a short stretch of the Yellow River to explore a hunch. Kathryn barely got settled in her chair when she connected with a 18.25” ‘eye. As she was cranking on that fish, I quick cranked in a low slot ‘eye. I netted her fish. Then I cranked in another low slot fish that I saw I was dragging when I went to net her fish. I got that fish off and got Kathryn to crank in the ‘eye was dragging on her second line. We sat in the boat with 4 lines out of the water and what was fun, but stressful. I think I was able to change Kathryn’s perception that trolling was boring. We made a few more passes, but I wasn’t able to duplicate my troll path with the wind.

Kathryn loves to jig so we pitched crawlers on the main lake. We caught about 8 more walleyes, a plump bass, and a 9” bluegill. Kathryn going vertical with an orange jig that out produced my orange/chart dragging offering.

It was a great night, but a little too windy for complete comfort.

Fall is such a great time to be fishing and really a great time to enjoy Wissota.

Jason Halfen has an opening this weekend.
