Anybody else run into these guys last night? Sully and I were out fishing the league and encountered several areas that were covered with both casings and hatching flies. The flies were huge…2.5-3″ magnums, bright yellow in color. I took one just above my left eye as we were running wide open down the river around 9pm. Ouch!
Yes we did….we were out last night and ran into the same thing. They were EVERYWHERE!
yes they were out in full force last nite (tues) but I did not see any on monday night to speak of.

The magnums are starting to thin out a bit. Still a few around but not nearly as many as last week.
Yesterday, the major hatch seemed to be caddis, about a half-inch long, right at dusk, with a bunch of tiny white mayflies mixed in.
