Wissota is icing over very slow. The bays are just starting to skim over.

I don’t think there will be fishable ice this weekend, but I could be wrong.

I hope to do a bit of scouting next week here & a couple northern lakes. Thats if it doest get too warm to get my boat back on the river. I have a hard time putting it to rest for the season. But once I get ice fever then its .Hope to be chatting with a few of you gents soon.

This snow will really screw up Wissota, short term and long term except for guys that aren’t afraid to walk I will be off from Saturday through Christmas and plan on the gils in every corner of the county

So, anyone know what kind of ice there was before the snowfall. Kind of hoping there was none for no snow-pack on top but I imagine some areas had some ice.

There was a skim of ice on the system with exception the middle of the big lake and into the mouth of the Chippewa River.

Ran around the little lake today in search of Christmas tree farm and didn’t see a soul on the lake. Think the ice is safe yet???

Was on moon bay yesterday 3″ solid ice with snow/slush over that and a frozen layer over that. Drilled plenty of holes few willing biters. ice thickness seemed the same across the area i fished. A very wet day.
