After getting a late start, Saturday, we got our first line in at noon. We fished with tip-downs and jigging. As I was setting up the first tip-down, I was already seeing fish on the LX-7. As soon as the minnow got down to the marks, crappies started hitting. I stayed with first tip down for three fish in a row while my son was setting up the others. For about an hour, the crappies cooperated nicely. We ended up catching about 15 (kept 10, 10″ to 12″) including on 12″ walleye. Then the wind picked up and started blowing our tip-downs over, so it was time to go. Caught about five on the Lil Cecil jigging. Frist two photos were Wissota.
Second two photos are a little late from Upper Red over New Years out of Up North Fish House. Biggest was almost 22″. Other were 14 to 19 1/2 that we had made up at JR’s down the road, which did an excellent job.
Now to get ready for our trip up to Mille Lacs on Thursday til Sunday, out of Hunter Winfields.
