The lake was wide open on Tuesday with nothing more then a few ice chunks and wood floating in the big lake. Yellow River had water temps nearing 50.
The Crappie spawn should come very early as the walleyes start heading back to the main lake basin in the next few weeks.
This is a great time to get out on the water and map your summer trolling runs along with finding some true slab crappies. Plenty of paper mouths to be had in the 10-14 inch class!
Walleye League is a short 6 1/2 weeks away! Its going to be a great season!
