    Where can you legally fish for sturgeon in inland Wisconsin water?

    Yellow lake has some monster sturgeon. Has special regs. But giants get caught yearly. Checked opens Sept. 3 2016 classes Sept 30 2016

    i believe the WI state record is from Yellow. ive always wanted to make a trip there but just havent for sum odd reasons. heck its only a couple hrs away

    There’s also the Chippewa River,Flambeau river,Butternut Lake,and the Wisconsin River below the WI Dells damn and the Menominee River up by Green Bay….

    Sorry haven’t been on here in a while. I fish the Chippewa in Eau Claire, Chippewa Falls and am now just trying Jim Falls and Menomonie on the Red Cedar. SO far fishing isn’t too bad. This rain has got the water too high for me to walk in at the moment though and its pretty fast for boats at the moment too. crawlers are what are working best around here. Season will be done pretty soon though.

    Not able to get registration done in time, I missed it this year; but will be prepared for September 2017 Wisconsin sturgeon.

    If you’re out this way next year I’m game too. My boats going away for the ear here pretty soon in October.
