took the kids and one of their friends out to willow river state park. What a beautiful park. We all had a blast wading in the falls. Was a scorcher today but made the swimming all the better. Bought an annual pass to the Wisconsin state parks so hope to go back to explore more this year. If anyone has any suggestions for other parks would love to hear them.

So I did a google search, specificall for Pattison State Park in the Duluth/Superior area. This link is a google map for the NW part of the state. And with the falls in the background at Willow, Pattison has the two largest falls in the state. Also suggest Copper Falls to the south of Ashland…

I tried to make the link in its entireity, so a copy and paste may be necessary… Sorry

Willow River State Park is as cool in the winter as it is in the summer too.

Side note: there are some incredible videos on the FB of the falls early last week after the heavy rains.

We thought Pattison State Park was just ok. You cant get super close to the falls. Amnicon Falls State Park is awesome and highly recommend.

Looks like fun, and quite refreshing! Wish I had some suggestions but I’m not familiar with the WI parks.

Not far from my house I drive through during the rut alot and sometimes you can see a real monster. Lots of great hiking trails too. Don’t park at any lot outside of the park without paying they check and it’s a $163 fine. See some in the paper alot.
