Pitched 1/8th oz. jigs with ringworms today. We fished in 5 to 6 feet of water for most of the day. Caught about 20 walleyes. All short and all milking. Also trolled stickbaits with a few fish on that presentation. One gate was partially open but the current was still not that strong. I think after this week they will be done in Nekoosa.

Oh well, you’re going to walleye wonderland tomorrow so lucky you. Wish that guy would have cancelled sooner!

I think you’re seeing the first wave of fish. I think with the warm water in the river and late ice on the lake, there’s plenty of fish in the lake that haven’t made the journey yet.

Don’t be surprised if there’s a lot of milking fish up there in two weeks.

That would be nice if that holds true. I hope we get a lot of rain.

Thanks for the info and good job on the fish. A buddy and I have been wanting to get up there soon.
