It appears that most of the dams on the wisconsin river are open creating turbulent water. Today I was joined by myself to fish the hardest working river in Wisconsin. I ventured down river looking for some good current breaks that I could get a five eighths jig to find bottom. The area I fished was a sand area with a good point and fallen tree to break the current. It was miserable conditions but I had a fever and the only presciption was more walleye. My weapon of choice today was a ringworm. I would cast up river towards the point and let the current sweep it back on a tight line. I ended up catching seven fish in the two and a half hours I was there.
