Wisconsin river smallies

    Fished the WI this weekend with my older brother,got intoi the smallies pretty good, not alot of big fish ( up to 16″‘s, but plenty of action and every fish coming up and jumping. rattle traps, medium cranks, jig n pig caught most fish. Chrome was hot with the sun out and bright colors when it was cloudy. Released about 80 fish in 2 mornings.

    Fished the WI river Saturday with my son, it was tough going. We did not get out until the sun was high. WE managed about 25 fish with maybe 5 or 6 keepers, my son caught most of the bigger fish, crank bite was slow, most fish were caught on stick worms or jig an plastic trailer, hula grub or zoom chunk.
