Yesterday proved to be a great day for fishing for many who dodged the rain or for some, got caught in it.
A couple gentlemen from IL who got caught in it managed a good catch of some nice crappie, smallies, and white bass above the wingdam hitting it hard the better part of the day.
The eye fishermen once again did well trolling the cranks around the hwy 12 bridge after a shutout 2 days ago for myself for the first time in 2 weeks.
A good regular and diehard, Chris Larson, decided to hit the river for the final hour or so before dark after checking in for like the 12th time this year and boated this beauty weighing in at 4 lbs. and measuring 23 inches.
He was trolling a rapala, the exact one remains a mystery, and after a few shorties hooked it right in front of the boat launch right at dark.
