Dells Question

Going to up there last weekend in June, first time up there can anyone help me with access on the river were I can get out and fish/wade? Hoping to get into some smallies and walleye. Any ideas? You can private message me if you don’t want to post public.

I’d contact the River’s Edge resort. They have reasonable boat rentals and river access. I personally avoid that stretch of the river once the duks and tourist jetboat rigs start running it in the summer.

It’s a little ways south of the Dells just outside of Prairie Du Sac, but there’s a pretty good shore spot at Ferry Bluff. not sure how the walleye fishing is there, but you’ll be able to pick off some smallies. Don’t take the kids though since it’s right across the river from the nudie beach

If you want walleyes, fish on Lake Wisconsin instead of the river at the dells. Lake Wisconsin is only 30 mins south of the dells.
If your fishing from shore only, stay at the dells and fish for smallies and maybe try for walleyes after dark.

I am stuck on shore. coaching a baseball team in a tournament up there, mainly will have early morning or evenings. Any smaller rivers worth trying?
