I drove along the river yesterday and it looks about 2 feet above normal.

The river at Muscoda is up from 2.25 to 3.82 this morning and the flow is 15,700 cfs up from 8,800 last Thursday. It’s been very low for this time of year, but up after the recent rains.

It’s a little dirty and moving pretty swift. It was up high enough in spring green that there was standing water in the river bottoms. If your between prairie du sac and spring green, sandbar camp sites will be hard to find.

Fair amount of water coming down from the Kilbourn Dam at Wisconsin Dells currently 12,900 cfs. Water is kinda dirty but their is a decent walleye bite going on shallow in 3′-6′ on crank baits/planer boards. #5 Flicker Shads in Char/Pearl, or Firetiger run 20’to 25′ back have been getting bit the most.

I have also been getting fish casting cranks to current breaks around islands in the river. Again, 3′-6′ deep.

Flow increased to 22,900 cfs and the river is at 10′ up by the Dells so may want to take that into consideration.
