Wisconsin River Wis Dells

Last spring with the really high waters i had seen lots of spring time posts of guys fishing from the dam in town down to the shallows a few miles down river. This year I have not come across one post. Is anyone fishing the river in the dells. If so whats going on? I’m planning a day trip next week and would like to make sure its worth the drive.

Jig’s & night crawlers have been pretty good from what I heard.

I fished up there the 13th & 14th. Caught a lot of short fish on blades, a few on moxies, and a couple on cranks. Two slot fish 20-1/4″ and a 23″. Not much at happening for the guys using live bait around us. Was on the water for a total of 28 hours in the two days. Spent a lot of time watching the H/bird to locate pockets of fish. We kept a few sauger and eyes for a meal, but was mostly there to C&R.

A freind of mine is still fishing there and the last 2 times out got plenty of fish.
