I Purchased a new 2020 year 16 ft Lund Alaskan tiller and ordered with a 24 volt set up just the wired part. ordered late feb 2020 and boat was at dealer in under 4 weeks.Because of the covid 19 virus.the dealer was only allowing pre ordered boats to be picked up. I was only able to go up and pick up boat in and out. was no time to ask questions. I did not receive a owners Manuel. on the 24 volt system there are two wires that run to second battery box. One is solid black the other is black with a blue stripe.DOES IT MAKE A DIFFERENCE WHICH WIRE IS CONNECTED POS TO NEG ON BATTERY THE STRIPE IS JUST SO CONNECTIONS DON’T GET MIXED UP RIGHT? this may make me sound like a idiot but this is my first 24 volt rodeo LOL

Does the receptacle that the TM plugs into have 2 pins, or 4?

What color wires, and how many of each, are in the “primary” battery compartment? Does one have a breaker attached?

Can you tell if the red and black that are in the primary battery compartment are running directly to/from the socket? Just confirming what you posted.

Which of the black wires comes out of the breaker or its probably the jumper wire.

From what I can see a red wire comes from troll motor plug outlet into main battery compartment and connects directly to breaker on bottom side. Then at the of top of breaker the red wire (shorter one) would just i think connect to pos on battery

Red w/breaker goes to battery #1 positive. Black w/blue stripe goes from #1 negative to #2 positive. Black from plug gets connected to black that runs to battery #2 negative. It does NOT connect to battery #1. If there are ring terminals at both ends, bolt together and tape over, or use a butt-splice with waterproof heat shrink to seal. Probably #8 AWG wire.

Do the black wires reach to splice on the ground plate? Or do you have to splice like in the diagram?
