Ok I know this topic has been covered previously but just making sure I am not missing something. I currently own a helix 7 ice model and we are going to Winnipeg the end of March. As far as I know there is not any mapping system available for this unit. I have heard and researched the Angler’s edge Map available for the lowrance units. Just making sure before I go this route with a cheaper Lowrance unit to be able to have the maps. The AEM’s map do look pretty nice and possibly a huge asset. I have fished there before and realize it takes constantly moving to stay in or find the fish.

Thanks in advance for any advice!

Correct. AEM tried to work with hummingbird as well, but they refused. The local bird rep says they are mapping the south basin this summer, but mapping this lake is tougher than you think. AEM did a fantastic job on their maps, it’s 69.99 cdn for the south basin and the red river. Pick up a cheap lowrance hook 4 unit.
