    Hi everyone,
The wife and I will be heading up to Winnie for Memorial weekend. Got a few questions to ask.
How has the bite been? What does the water temp have to be for the shiners to be running? Does anyone have the current water temp?

Was up Thursday-Sunday. Bite wasn’t too bad. Was catching walleyes and lots of perch. Not sure when the shiners run, but the bait store had plenty when we got ours.

Water temp were between 55-59 on the big lake and we found up to 61 in some bays on little cuttfoot

Fished Winnie Friday through last night.
Caught plenty of fish in Tamarac bay in 5 to 16’ of water.
Fished Sunday night snd last night in the mouth of the 3rd river. What a blast that was. Caught them on a jig and shiner, jig and fat head, jig and a 4” kalins jerk minnow jr and a husky jerk.
It seamed like blue and white jigs were the ticket for us. Didn’t fish other colors much but when we did no fish but.

We caught 15 walleyes from 18 to 25”. The fish we kept were 15 to 17” fish.

Michael I was up Friday night thru Monday afternoon and I had decent fishing as well. Caught a few fish in the crowds but ultimately did a lot of moving around and did the best finding fish away from the crowds in 10-15’ of water. Got on what I would call a fantastic bite without another boat in site Sunday night. I think I noticed your recon a couple of times as it was probably the only one on the lake. I only fished a jig and minnows all weekend.

Yep. Definitely saw you out there in the recon. Not a ton of double bubble recons floating out there. Good bites.

That is one thing I have noticed with owning this boat. It stands out in the crowd. lol

I doubt we make it up there again this year. But will be going back next year for memorial weekend. We had a blast up there. We stayed at High banks. Evan and the crew definitely provide great customer service.
