I’m interested to know what type of line and pound people are using to pitch jigs and crank baits to wingdams? Super line, mono, floro? If braid are you using a swivel and leader? For jig s what ounce is preferred,I understand flow will have something to do with size but is there a general rule of thumb? THANKS FOR THE REPLY!

8# mono for jigs and 15# power pro for cranks works well for me. If I only had one rod it would have braid I on it, but I much prefer mono for pitching jigs on the river.

I like braid. 10# power pro for jigs and 20# for cranks.

I use all braid too. 8-10lb fireline for jigs and live bait rigs, and 20lb for cranks. I do use a leader when casting cranks.

My exact setup also. No leaders or swivels mostly 1/8 and 1/4. I do use some 6# braid on jigs if current is strong and I do not want to increase the weight on my jigs.

I run braid. 6lb Suffix 832. no leader when fishing the river. As far as jigs go. IMHO you want to go with the lightest jig you can get away with. If your jig is not “Fluttering” down the front of the wingdam, touching bottom when you drop your rod tip, switch to a lighter or heavier jig depending if hit bottom or not.
