Winches for wheel house build

Looking to purchase some hand winches for a wheel house I’m coverting from ‘lever-bar-lift’ to ‘winch-lift’ for raising and lowering. All the hand winches I’m finding online have the handle on the same side which will not work on both sides of the house. Where can I find both R/H & L/H winches? Or do some models have a universal handle?

Try ICnuts company. Good people with fast delivery. I think their website is Winchdrivertools.com.

Second on ICnuts, great guy and his price is as good as anybody’s. The Nuts work great too. If it was a lever it must not be too heavy, but 2 speed winches are very nice. Also needed if you get the Nuts.

When I needed to replace the winches on my ice castle, Milaca Unclaimed Freight had them in stock.

Milaca Freight IS ice castle. If you get new winches from them odds are they are the same cheap imported junk they build their houses with in the first place. Even the winches went bad? The sparkling reviews just never end.

I will also say go with ICNuts. I replaced my winches with their products. Solid construction and the gearing makes it so much easier to crank up the house. Shipping was lightening fast as well.

Thanks for the suggestions guys. This helps.

Anyone have any info on what type of pulley guys are using for the winch wire? I’m referring to the pulley that is usually mounted below the locking pin that pulls the axle spring down. There are a ton of ways and types of pulleys but was wondering what most guys use for wheelhouse applications.
