Love it!
Tomorrow afternoon the forecast says it’s going to be 73 Deg. Of course it’s going to thunderstorm and have strong winds. The Monday morning forecast is for temps to be near 23 deg’s. A 50 Deg. Swing in less than 48 hrs. You have to love Minnesota weather
I guess it’s safe to call that there will be no spring. Maybe a few weeks at the end of May if we’re lucky.

I’m predicting highs in the upper 80s with a couple days of 90 thrown in by then.
Spring and Fall are nowadays just relics of the past.
It was beautiful in Red wing yesterday! No lines at the boat launch, not much wind to battle. Lake was like glass as I headed home. Now that I got that out of my system, they can turn the wind back on!
Catching a flight in a few minutes to go visit the Belle!
Might need some SPF.
Special Pillow Formation.
Giddy-up
I was waiting for you to answer this very complexly worded question:
“Will it never end ??? – This Weather”
Nothing lasts forever. 🤷
Spring must be close. I just saw a flock of Pelicans fly over my house. That is typically the sign that Spring is here. The forecast doesnt look that way however.
As much as I loved the sunshine yesterday, this rain is desperately needed.
Haven’t had the chance to get boat out yet, or even hit the shores yet but when I do this rain just brings the fish closer to shore and in tighter spots. Suckers, and st.croix river eyes I say bring it on.
Rainy days make for good happy hours
Returned Sunday from a week trip to Erie. We fished 7 ports in 9 days primarily in an attempt to minimize wind. The good side – we figured out there’s a lot of walleyes hanging in less than 20 fow along the shorelines, and we didn’t have to beat ourselves up to catch them. Great trip including time spent on the Detroit.
I was just enjoying this spring morning, watching the robins in my yard. And then one of them fell over dead, presumably succumbing to hypothermia. Ahhh, spring.
Seriously, I visited my farm in the Hinckley MN area yesterday to check on things. It was depressing as hell. That area of MN is easily 3 weeks behind a normal spring. Frost is still in the ground in places in the woods, everything that isn’t a steep hillside is sopping wet. Absolutely zero plant growth. Basically, it was March 26 on April 26.
Its bad, I just saw a trailer with a four-wheeler with a fish house driving by today lol.
I have feeling we are going to warm right up to 80’s. I don’t know how some of these farmers out west going to get there crops in time, there fields are are standing water and some still have the corn residue from last year still. That damn black muck doesn’t dry out that easy.

Directly from winter to summer. Just like in 2018. 95 freaking degrees by Memorial Day.
i have a friend who is a wuss about cold weather. Despite growing up in MN he constantly complains about winter weather. Hes always sending me links to houses in FL and AL and insisting we should all move south. Im the ‘proud to be MN’ type so im always defending MN. Saying its been a struggle to not agree with him this year is an understatement.
I gotta admit I am mentally struggling with this prolonged cold, cloudy, rainy weather. Its put a cramp in my seasonal turnover chores.
Heard last night there has been 21 out of 26 days in April with winds in the double digits.

I do too. They eventually moved south to Arizona or Texas. lol
In July they can’t even go outside to walk their dog during the day though.
I can’t wait till it hits 90
Lol can’t we get some “spring” weather? I don’t need to go directly to blasting my AC.
18 degrees on my thermometer this morning. I’ve got about an acre pond at my house and the edges finally started melting last week with all that rain but this morning the entire pond was frozen solid again with what looked like really good ice.
Hard to believe we are 5 weeks into spring.
Only 68 days until July 4th — when stores start bringing out the back-to-school stuff and outdoor shows switch from fishing content to hunting and halloween stuff starts coming out.
Anyone planning extra vacation time this summer to maximize what little time with nice weather we have? I am.
Just enjoy it for what it is. Working out side this sun feels wonderful.
Think about this –
Only 56 days until the days start getting shorter again!!
Ah yes, Minnesota – the land of extremes, but at least our taxes are high ~

Yeah, but I’m not waiting anymore, heading to Texas tomorrow. Upper 80’s and 90’s for the long weekend, just what the FW and I need!!!

no one is forcing you guys to live here. All things considered, Minnesota is a great state to live in if you enjoy the outdoors.
