Will I need a lakemaster chip for each of my Helix networked units?

    Hoping to complete my install of my Terrova iPilot Link MDI / Helix 9 G2N SI / Helix 7 G3N Mega Di today. I have Lakemaster (MN & WI) chips for one unit. H7 going on the bow, H9 near the transom on my tiller. All will be connected via 5 port box.

    If I put the chip in the H9, will I be able to fully utilize the H7 and TM while accessing lakemaster data from the H9? Meaning features like follow contour and other map/depth related functions.

    I suspect there is another $300 bill in my near future. Either that or I use the tiller motor in MN and the trolling motor in WI.

    You suspect correctly. You need map cards for each unit, unfortunately. If you only fish just one or two lakes, you could purchase and download the individual lake from the Lakemaster Chart Select and load them on the units to save a little money.
